Details
In a Turkish hammam, the tellak is the attendant who scrubs you down with a woven mitt called a kese. This is that mitt, made for your own shower.
Soften your skin in warm water, then rub in long, firm strokes. The textured weave lifts away dead skin and leaves your skin feeling smooth, with no soap, scrub or chemicals.
Why you'll like it
- Lifts away dead skin with just warm water
- Leaves skin feeling smooth and ready for moisturizer
- Preps skin for self-tan
- Reusable: rinse it, hang it by the loop and let it dry
- Woven in Türkiye
How to use
- Soak. Spend 5 to 10 minutes in a warm shower or bath. Skip the soap for now.
- Wring. Wet the mitt, then wring it out so it's damp, not dripping.
- Scrub. Step out of the water and rub in long, firm strokes on damp skin. Go gently on sensitive areas.
- Rinse. Rinse off, pat dry and follow with your usual moisturizer.
Once a week is plenty.
Good to know
- Don't use on broken, sunburned or irritated skin.
- Made for the body. Skip your face.
- Rinse after each use and hang to dry. Replace it when the weave wears smooth.

Questions
Good to know
What is a kese?
A kese is the woven mitt used for the body scrub in a Turkish hammam. The attendant who does the scrub is called a tellak, which is where our name comes from.
Do I need soap or a scrub with it?
No. The mitt works by friction on soft, damp skin, and soap or oil makes it slide. Wash and moisturize afterwards.
How often should I use it?
Once a week is plenty for most people. Don't use it on broken, sunburned or irritated skin.
How do I look after it?
Rinse it well with clean water after each use, wring it out and hang it to dry.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are prepared in 1 to 2 business days. Standard shipping takes 5 to 7 business days and costs $8.99, free on orders over $80. Express shipping takes 3 to 5 business days and costs $19.99. We ship to the US, the UK and the EU.
Can I return it?
Yes, within 30 days of delivery if the mitt is unused and in its original packaging. If it arrives damaged, we replace it at no cost to you.
